After watching yesterday's episode of How I Met Your Mother today, I got to thinking about things in my life which are unfinished (also the title of the episode; references! Yay me!)
Where was I? Oh yes, peoples unfinished business, or in this case mine. Are there many things I would like to finish in this life? Of course. I would like to leave this continent, go to a fjord, see snow, see the Mediterranean, watch the sunrise in a flat area (think Africa or Australia), eat food from other places, and perhaps do something which will have other remember me fondly for. Those are my unfinished goals.
As for unfinished personal things, I would like to make a special memory with my future nephew/niece: like take them somewhere amazing so that they know that the world does not revolve around Los Angeles; fall in love with someone who feels the same way about me, get a marriage proposal, possibly get hitched, and then get divorced, apologize for my mistakes, and tell my father I forgive him before he dies.
Will I get to do all of this? Who knows; I know that I don't have a clue as to whether or not I will get all this done before I leave this earth. All I know is that it is these things which make up most of what my adulthood will be all about.
