I finished reading "The Cinderella Pact". After everything, I was hoping that the main character, Nola, would have stood up more for herself.
I have been taking dietary supplement pills and powders over the last 5 or so days. And every day, my dad asks me: "Are you feeling any different? Do you feel better? Have you noticed any difference between before and now?" I don't know how to respond, so I shrug and walk away.
If I were to respond to these questions, I would start off with: "First of all, you are asking what seems to be the same question in 3 different ways. So I will answer all 3 of them by saying, 'No I haven't noticed anything different, aside from my pee. But that's a topic for a whole other conversation.' Secondly, I don't believe that they will make a difference. And the only reason why I'm taking these pieces of shit is because I want to say the phrase,'Today I pissed away $100. Talk about spectacular!' "And with that said, and a smile on my face, I would walk away.
Oh, dare to dream little bird. In fact, I might just do this tomorrow. As always, let's be free to be you and me; let's be young and free!
