Should I be allowed to say that I believe that a majority of people in relationships settle?

This is one of my core beliefs. I truly, honestly believe that people just want to take anyone who is willing to take them. It's like people think that they don't deserve something amazing for themselves. Is this what they believe? I don't know what to say about this phenomenon because well the only 2 relationships I've ever been with were the shittiest experiences ever.

Getting back to the topic, I really think that a majority of people in relationships say to themselves, "There he/she is. He/she is willing to live with me no matter how imperfect I am. I don't care much for him/her much but let's just take that, so I don't have to deal with the idea of looking for 'the one' anymore."

I don't understand people. They are finicky with other things in their lives but the choose, they openly choose, to take anyone who wants to be in a relationship with them because that's the best that they believe they can do? I mean, come on! Can you be any more of a hypocrite?

This is just another reason why I am choosing to not be in another relationship anytime soon. I know I'm one picky ass bitch. And when it comes to being in a relationship, I am not just gonna settle for someone that I really don't feel anything for, but I'm with this person because he takes me as I am. The next time I'm involved with someone (aka having fun with this person) I am going to be in it because I like this person; because this person makes me happy, even when we're arguing about something stupid like Tarantino movies; and most of all, because underneath it all, I will know that this person is worth it all because he is as good as it gets.
