Hello all!
What's on my mind today? Well it's something simple that we should all think about once in a while... life. It's this mysterious entity which is made up of the experiences which we have in our time on this planet. And every once in a while, it happens. I don't necessarily understand what "life happens" means, but I think it has to do with random, unplanned events occurring all at once, and we have no control over it.
Last Thursday, my main concern had to do with finishing my English homework before class. And now this week, my thoughts are on simple things from a math test tomorrow, and wishing my dad a great time on his vacation to incredibly complicated things like my sister delivering her daughter safely and wishing my boss a safe triple-bypass in which he recovers from better than before.
Sometimes, when you focus on the bigger things, the smaller things just don't seem as important. Take for example, my fight with a close friend. Her attitude right now, and whatever happens just really doesn't matter to me. Whatever happens, happens. If she wishes to act the way that she is, well that's her choice, and it' something that I should obsess over. Which I won't.
And looking at the bigger picture right now, my current bigger picture, I think that taking the chance and asking somebody out doesn't seem like a terrifying thing. What would be a terrifying thing would be dying. As for being rejected, well, you'll survive; and so will I.
As for unleashing my food for thought right now, well I didn't mean to plague you with my troubles. What I do inspire you to do is to look at the bigger picture. It makes you not sweat the small stuff. It makes you appreciate a sunny day, no matter what small inconveniences occur.
