If I ever were to have a mental breakdown in my 20's, and decide to have a vacation from my life, I believe I would go to Australia. There are so many reason why to go. Here are mine:
5) Koala's and Kangaroos: Please don't quote me on this, but I believe they only originate from there. I, for one, would not like to see them caged up in a zoo, but rather in their original habitat, just being. It would be something awesome on a whole other level.
4) Australia's nature is one to be matched. I mean come on! The Great Coral Reef on one end, the outback on the other, and many marvelous things to see in between? The real question is, why am I not there now?
3) It's not like the Baz Luhrmann film. Not that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering someone who believed this, but the movie "Australia" is not what Australia is all about. And to be frank, the movie... not that good. It was overly dramatic, and without a central point in the plot. And if I wanted to be all super messed up, I would say the only good thing about that film was one very hot Hugh Jackman. He was worth the torture. So on to other things...
2) Great entertainers come from there. Let's see, there's the ever so great band Cut Copy, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Craig Horner (look him up; he's OMG hot!), Rose Bryne, Portia de Rossi, Ryan Kwanten, Olivia Newton-John, Sam Worthington, and Heath Ledger (may he rest in peace).
1) Uber hot Australian surfers! Yes, I know it this is something so specific, but in a country of approximately of about 23 million, I know there are plenty to go around for chicks like me lookin' for something that specific. Plus, a combination of a great looking guy, with some tight abs, nice biceps, and one sexy ass accent; I'm just wondering why you aren't on the plane right now. If I was in a better financial situation, I wouldn't be writing this, I would be over there...
Well, there you have it darlings! I know it's not much to go on, but to remind you all, I am not a freakin' travel guide. I am a 20-something year old chick who has he own personal reasons for wanting to, and eventually, go to certain destinations. I just home my reasons compel you to want to, as well as to, go one of these days.
